Product Description This scanner is specifically designed to work with all OBD II compliant vehicles (all 1996 and newer cars & trucks that are OBD II compliant). There are a small number of 1994 and 1995 model year gasoline vehicles that are also compliant. To see if your car is OBD II compliant, check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information Label which is located under the hood or by the radiator of most vehicles. If the vehicle is compliant, the label will designate "OBD II Certified" and will have a 16-pin OBDII Standard Socket. This scanner is compatible all OBDII and EODBII compliant vehicles 1996 and newer. Please Note: may not be able to retrieve all codes on some VW, Audi, and Subaru cars. This scanner is not compatible with CAN protocol.

Simple and Functional August 5, 2010 Capitone Performs as advertised. Perfect for the "sidewalk mechanic". Durable and very simple to use. The hardest part will probably be finding the port for your car. Mine was easy, but I've already come across a few weird locations on other cars.
works great July 16, 2010 Keith W. Burkhardt the scanner works great, I now own a scanner for less than the local mechanics want to run a single scan.
obd 2 scanner July 14, 2010 Dongwook Moon (seattle,wa) This scanner reads only when the check engine light is on.It cannot read when the check engine light is pending (disapearing).
You get what you paid for.
U380 OBD II July 13, 2010 vafromva Item worked great...it's just a basic code scanner the seller shipped item very quickly. Dad loved it for Father's Day.
ODB II Scanner! May 24, 2010 Brian M. Batitsas Nice, small and handy. The price was great. I leave it in my vehicle. The old one I used was much larger and needed cards. I do not know if Snap-on Tools came out with a new device, I do not work in the industry, any longer. My old friends in the business, "say no!" But, as far as actual dignosis, as in watching numbers from the sensors and switches (if need be) the product cannot do that. But, if you have a light (easyer to explain) that stays on then the device will tell you the code. Sometimes, that maybe all you need. Although, you may need more help from an experienced individual. Nice basic device though. I am happy with the device, so far.
